Looking back, I had the best of both worlds as my playing career spanned the amateur and professional eras. I joined Gloucester in 1988 having played my early rugby at Longlevens RFC alongside my brother Mark, who is now vice chairman at the club. My son Oli also now plays for the club, as does my brother’s son Martin – it’s in the family!
