The furore over the RFU’s decision not to renew contracts to the 15-a side England women after the 2017 World Cup has provoked widespread criticism, and more than a few expressions of outrage, often from people who wouldn’t be characterised as rugby supporters.
It’s one of those issues where there is pressure to jump on the bandwagon, and where expressing a counter-view in support of the RFU leaves any man open to the charge of being misogynist. Here goes!
