England secured a bonus-point victory over Ireland in front of a Women’s Six Nations record crowd of 77,120, but John Mitchell’s side have been rocked by a second row injury crisis.

Red Roses had already lost Rosie Galligan, Abbie Ward and captain Zoe Stratford to pregnancies, and Mitchell says his team will be reliant on back rows filling in for the remaining four rounds.
Mitchell said: “It’s a challenge, no doubt. We’ve lost four recognised international second rows, which isn’t ideal.
“We’ll basically have to put out a team full of back rows. But that’s rugby – you adapt.”
