Nonu defies the age gap in his bid for World Cup

A VINTAGE display by All Blacks great Ma’a Nonu put the Blues on the path to a chest-thumping 32-29 victory over the Waratahs at Eden Park.
The 36-year-old was on hand to set up two tries and bagged one for himself as he threw his name back into frame for an international call-up.
Despite his age, a recall for the 103-Test centre wouldn’t raise eyebrows as highly as telling a follower of Super Rugby that the Blues’ win over the Waratahs was their fourth on the spin – a feat not achieved by the Auckland franchise since 2011.
