Assistant coach Joe El-Abd has nailed his colours to England’s sinking mast despite recent speculation linking him with a move back to France with Brive.

El-Abd, below, joined Steve Borthwick’s Twickenham project in 2024 and initially carried on working for Oyonnax in France before going full-time with the RFU.
The former flanker played in France with Toulon before heading to Oyannax, and cut his coaching teeth there and with Castres before Borthwick’s summons.
