Wales skipper Dewi Lake insists win is ‘just around the corner’ for Steve Tandy’s men

Wales’ losing Six Nations streak has stretched to 15 matches – the previous victory coming against Italy in March 2023 – but captain Dewi Lake is confident they can get a result against the Azzurri on Saturday to avoid a third successive wooden spoon.

“The win is coming, I can feel it, it is just around the corner,” said Lake. “The development of the team in the past four weeks has been monumental.
“We’re always disappointed to lose, but the positives and the way we played is always something to be proud of.”
Lake says Wales will be left to rue some missed opportunities against Ireland.
