Ireland boss Andy Farrell hailed the character of his team after they overcame gritty Italy in Dublin to get their campaign back on track ahead of Saturday’s showdown with England at Twickenham.

After their humbling defeat by France in the opener, they trailed Italy by five points at the break.
However, tries from Jack Conan and Robert Baloucoune saw them home despite late Italian pressure.
Farrell said Ireland made “too many errors” at points in the game but was pleased with how his side responded to the France defeat.
