ARGENTINA ended their World Cup preparation on a bright note as they saw off Spain with a nine-try victory.
Juan Cruz Malia got Argentina’s first try on a quarter of an hour with a smart finish. Prop Joel Scalvi barrelled his way over to give his side a 17-0 lead, before Newcastle winger Mateo Carreras produced a typically pacey run to get Argentina’s third.
Spain got themselves on the board before half time, deserved reward for their tenacity in the first period.
