WOMEN
ENGLANDwere left to rue a slow start as they lost 26-19 to Fiji and were then outclassed and outgunned by a fired up New Zealand.
Fiji came flying out of the blocks in the first half, scoring three tries to England’s one, via Alex Matthews.
Another Fiji score after the break widened the gap before Abbie Brown and Ellie Kildunne responded, but time ran out in their search for a try to draw level.
New Zealand were rampant in their 40-7 win over England with Michaela Blyde scoring four tries.
