Eddie Jones believes the Nations Championship, which kicks off in July, will grow the game’s support base.

Jones is Japan’s head coach, and with Fiji, they are the only two teams in the 12-strong competition, which will be played every two years, that do not play in a major championship.
“The attempt to get this tournament started went on for so long, but it is now finally coming to fruition,” said Jones, whose side have home matches against Italy, Ireland and France in July and play Wales, England and Scotland in November’s European leg ahead of the final weekend.
