EDDIE Jones’ Japan opened their Pacific Nations Cup campaign in emphatic fashion, moving straight to the top of Pool B after dismantling Canada 57-15 in a record win.
Ranked 11 places above Canada, the Brave Blossoms ran in seven second-half tries and scored 33 unanswered points in just 20 minutes, surpassing their previous winning margin of 46-8 from 2009. They now lead the all-time head-to-head 16–8 with two draws and have won the last six meetings.
