Etzebeth try sparks Springboks’ second half battering

SOUTH Africa celebrated the anniversary of their 1995 World Cup triumph by completing a 3-0 whitewash of France in Johannesburg.
Surprisingly, France had never lost at Ellis Park in four previous encounters but that record was always going to be tested with the last game of the series being played 22 years to the day since Francois Pienaar lifted the Webb Ellis trophy at this very ground.
Elton Jantjies and Jules Plisson each kicked three first-half penalties but it was the hosts who went into half-time 16-9 in front thanks to an early Jesse Kriel try.
