AGUSTIN Pichot got plenty of flak from an army of PC trolls – and a few journalists – when he took to Twitter to highlight the number of players not born in the country they are playing for. Calls followed for his immediate resignation as World Rugby’s vice-chairman, mainly because he had not done his homework thoroughly before making the post.
While it’s legitimate to criticise Pichot for being careless enough to get some of his facts wrong, the calls for his resignation are over the top.
