Bears cling on as Chiefs’ late shot falls short

BRISTOL held the edge in a classic encounter with Exeter at Sandy Park.
A frenetic start saw Taylor Black cross for the Chiefs after two minutes, before Bristol captain Amber Reed responded immediately from the restart to level the scores.
The Bears then upped the intensity, pressuring the Exeter try line and scoring their second on 20 minutes through prop Simi Pam.
Bristol extended their advantage again minutes later when England prop Sarah Bern crashed over from close range.
