Baldwin backed to be Wales’ new star in midfield

COREY Baldwin has been told he has the potential to be Wales star Jonathan Davies’ long-term successor in the Scarlets number 13 jersey.
The Wales U20 centre has played most of his rugby this season on the wing, but he was outstanding in midfield as the Scarlets hammered Bayonne in the European Challenge Cup. Davies, 31, still has plenty to give, but he is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury sustained at the World Cup and Baldwin has been backed as the man to fill his shoes.
