RICHMOND prop Laura Kapo says the team need to learn from their mistakes if they are to compete with rivals Wasps on Sunday.

After going down 20-10 to Firwood Waterloo last time out, Richmond now sit nervously in eighth place in the Women's Tyrrells Premier 15s table, only staying off the bottom on points difference.

“Our basic skillset let us down last weekend, I don't think we fully got off the bus after a long journey up from London,” the 2019 Women's Player of the Year said.

“This week it's about revisiting those basics and getting those clinical bits right, so we can get a better performance this weekend.

“With quite a new young squad, there's quite a lot of inexperience. We've got to take each game as it comes, and learn from the mistakes each week.”
