REGIONAL PREMIER LEAGUES ROUND-UP

BOURNVILLE took top spot in the Midlands Premier after beating Peterborough 50-12. The Lions scored in the opening minute but Bournville replied with Tom Burrows scoring a hat-trick with Ash Scriven, Sam Herrington, James Burgoyne, Ben Tibbetts and Steve Hardy also crossing.

In the Northern Premier Rossendale moved out of the bottom two following a 32-21 win at Ilkley. Dominic Moon scored a brace for the visitors while Jordan Lord, Ben Cave and Damon Hall also scored to go 29-0 up before the hosts responded.

Carlisle boosted their league position with a 29-17 victory over Harrogate. Angus Fulton scored the allimportant second-half try that put his side ahead for a lead they would not relinquish. Finally, in the South West Premier Brixham won 27-21 at Exmouth, coming through strongly in the second half after being behind at the break.
