REIGNING champions Merthyr narrowed the gap on leaders Beddau to four points with a 22-3 bonus-point victory at Cardiff Met in the Welsh Premiership.
No 8Aled Evans dotted down in each half for the Ironmen – who also had wing Jack Kathrens and scrum-half James Soanes on the scoresheet. Ben Jones kicked one conversion.
A penalty from Matt Bonds had put the Archers into an early lead.
