PONTYPRIDD moved to within four points of defending Welsh Premiership champions and current leaders Merthyr after defeating Cardiff Met 17-10 at Sardis Road.
Hooker Louis Tovey opened the scoring for the Valley Commandos after 11 minutes, converted by Jorge Lucey.
