10-try Ironmen go on rampage

MERTHYR went on the rampage against Cardiff Met at The Wern in the only Premiership match played this week, winning 70-12.
The students were no match for the home side, who stretched their lead at the top of the table to eight points over Pontypridd and 10 over Beddau. Both those teams have a game in hand.
There were seven tries in the first half and three more in the second for the Iron-men, while Ben Jones converted all of them to complete the rout.
