Neath knock Ponty out of cup

HOLDERS Pontypridd are out of the WRU Premiership Cup after going down 23-19 to Neath in their first round clash at the Gnoll.
Skipper Ben Williams and winger Ki Morgan scored for the Welsh All Blacks. Both tries were converted by Paul Short – who also sent over three penalties.
Centre Stuart Floyd-Ellis ran in two tries for Pontypridd, both converted by Jorge Lucey, with Dale Stuckey also scoring – but could not prevent the cup holders falling at the first hurdle.
