AMID all the noise about how many regional teams there should be in Wales moving forward, the reduction from 12 to 10 in the second tier seems to have worked out pretty well.
It may have taken a few years to get there – the old Premiership went up to 14 clubs at one stage – but a drop from 13 to 10 for last season’s launch of Super Rygbi Cymru met with widespread approval.
