CHAMPIONS Leinster crashed to a heavy defeat in Cape Town on Friday without their British and Irish Lions contingent.
They held the Stormers to just six points in the first half but then could not contain the South African power as last year’s quarter-finalists scored four tries from Stefan Ungerer, Evan Roos, Ruan Ackermann and Jurie Mat-thee, while the Irish province had two players sin-binned.
Matthee ended with a tally of 20 points after also kicking three penalties and three conversions.
