AN 80th-minute penalty from full-back Rhyno Smith spared Benetton’s blushes as they secured a gritty win over their Italian rivals.
Leonardo Marin crossed from short range after a well-worked play for the only score of the first half before Giacomo Da Re opened the second period scoring with a penalty.
Benetton quickly nullified that with one of their own through Marin. It should have been two, with an easy one on offer, but Marin’s kick was off-target.
