THE Lions continued their unbeaten start to the season by edging Zebre in a rain-soaked tight affair.
Ivan van Rooyen’s side scored the game’s only try through hot stepping, agile wing Edwill van der Merwe, who profited from quick hands across the backline and a looping pass from inside centre Marius Louw.
Fly-half Sanele Nohamba kicked the touchline conversion and then a routine second half penalty which proved enough for the men from Johannesburg, despite a poor miss by Nohamba in front of the posts at the half time buzzer.
