Coming off the bench to score a hat-trick and spearhead Caldy’s upset victory over title fighting Coventry last weekend was the highlight of the hooker Matt Gallagher’s career so far.
The 24-year-old’s treble combined with an earlier try by Connor Wilkinson and six points from the boot of Lewis Barker saw the part-time Merseysiders shock Coventry, who had lost only four times heading into the game.
