Hooley magic and penalty count put paid to the Pirates

BEDFORDkept their Cup qualification on course with a tough win against Cornish Pirates.
Bedford need a win against Hartpury in the next round to guarantee qualification. Pirates have already qualified.
Mike Rayer, Bedford director of rugby, said: “Five points keeps us in the competition and we’re happy with that win, but game management let us down a bit.
“It was tough with the wind and heavy underfoot but we need to improve our decision making. For 70 minutes we kept the scoreboard low, so that was good.”
