7-try Jersey have a maul at Richmond’s expense

JERSEY produced a powerful display to maintain their perfect record in this season’s Cup.
The Reds scored seven tries, including four mauled efforts in the first half from hooker Jack Macfarlane, in overcoming Richmond, who have now lost three straight ties.
More than 30 penalties were awarded during the game, many for tackles adjudged high under the trial amendment to law 9.13.
Freddie Gabbitass missed an early shot at goal for the visitors, but then the Reds struck as an attacking lineout led to Macfarlane’s first score.
