A last-minute penalty from full-back Nick Smith salvaged a draw for Chinnor at Cinderford.
Cinderford started brightly and, after a couple of attacking lineouts came to nothing, hooker Nathan Taylor was driven over to score a try, which went unconverted.
The dull and drizzly weather did little to brighten the mood and most of the remainder of the half took place in midfield, with neither side creating any clear scoring opportunities as it remained 5-0 to the home team at the interval.
