SALE FC withstood a savage Rotherham onslaught to eke out a 13- 12 win in front of a bumper crowd at the CorpAcq stadium.
The visitors missed a chance from the tee early on but initially took the lead after 21 minutes when second-row Kieran Frost crashed over, with centre Ellis Abrahams adding the extras, 0-7.
Sale narrowed the gap ten minutes later when a well-executed line-out move ended with Joe Kelly, on the back of a rolling maul, crossing for the score.
