Albion stop the rot with nervy win

PLYMOUTH Albion halted a run of five successive defeats with a hard-earned victory over Sale FC at Brickfields.
With both sides near the foot of the table it was never going to a classic and despite being beaten a plucky Sale fully deserved their losing bonus point.
On a heavy pitch Sale started the game on the front foot but it was Plymouth who had the early supremacy up front.
When Sale were twice penalised at scrums close to their line, the referee yellow carded visiting prop John Blanchard.
