Freemen’s protest as their historic clubhouse demolished

OLDFreemen’s RFC, one of Surrey’s oldest clubs, will be homeless as they start their season after their historic clubhouse was demolished in a “sad and tragic” move.
Situated in the grounds of Ashtead Park and shared with three other sports clubs for local people and alumni of the City of London Freemen’s School, the building, which dates back to 1956, has been knocked down by land owners the City of London Corporation.
