Nuns shrug off red card to see off Bees

DESPITE having Rory Vowles sent off, Nuneaton triumphed in the first v fourth clash, beating Birmingham and Solihull Bees 21-12 to extend their gap at the top of the table to five points.
After the sides had traded early penalties, Vowles was dismissed for a tip tackle, but Rob Cook’s try gave the Nuns an 11-6 lead at the interval.
Two further Jack Jolly penalties allowed Birmingham to edge a point ahead, but Nick Smith went over for the decisive try.
