THEbig game of the day was at The Slade where top-placed Tonbridge Juddianwelcomed Wimbledon, in second.
Honours went to the home side who edged it 19-17 but were grateful for the boot of Liam Prescott, with four penalties and the conversion of a penalty try for the win.
TJ now increase their lead to four points. For Wimbledon, Jack Reville went in for a try to add to a penalty try, with Bryan Croke adding a conversion and two penalties.
Westcombe Park keep third place following an eight-try rout of Westcliff. Tommy Gray led the way with a hat-trick, with Sean Dixon, Joe Bonner, Bradley Saffry, Tom Christopher, Dan Fox going in for one each. All were converted by James Cameron who also kicked a penalty.
Westcliff had a penalty try converted by Chris Budman. Chris Marsh was their other try scorer in a 59-12 win.
Hertford remain fourth following a 27-18 win at home to Colchester. Josh Corcoran, Dave Archer and Michael Allen were the try scorers, all converted by Ben Lloyd, who also slotted two penalties. Jordan Fenton and Damo Bramley crossed for the visitors, with James Crozier kicking one conversion and two earlier penalties.
Guernsey slip off the pace, going down 30-25 away at Dorking. Mike Terelak, Ed Carne and Matt Higgins were try scorers, all converted by Ben Hatton, to add to three penalties.
Sutton and Epsom went down to Chichester at Rugby Lane. The home side were leading 30-24 with just ten minutes remaining, through tries from Dave Dyer, Stefan Cooksammy and Kyren Ghuma, all converted by Steve Mumford, who also slotted three penalties. The visitors however managed to cross for six with Chris Johnson and Jim Renwick in for two apiece.
In the final game of the round, Southend Saxons edged it 24-20 at home to Guildford. Bradley Burr and Marcus Brambury were the home try scorers, with Burr kicking 11 points.
A penalty try and a try from Tom Hickey, both converted by Freddie Hooper, who also aded two penalties, were the scorers for Guildford.
