SYSTON celebrated their first ever meeting with Barnstaple with a convincing victory.
The hosts won the toss and chose to play into both the wind and the glare of the sunshine in the opening half.
Barnstaple started strongly, immediately applying pressure and pinning Syston deep inside their own 22.
The sustained pressure paid off after ten minutes when Brandon Moore powered over for a pushover try, converted by Henry Sellick.
