Sound finish from homely Hornets

HORNETS dispatched their old rivals the Old Reds, in what turned out to be a classic local derby, for the last home game of 2025.
A bumper crowd gathered to watch the Hornets maintain a 100 per centhome record in the first half of the season.
They saw the Hornets lead early, courtesy of a penalty from Jack Gappe, but the Old Reds capitalised on continued pressure and responded with a try from Harrison Murphy. That was all, in the first half, with a modest 5-3 score.
