OLD REDCLIFFIANS earned maximum returns as they saw off Exeter University by nine points.
The home side galloped through their gears early on, with flanker Ben Tothill sent away to score the opening try, which Ash Groves upgraded to a seven-pointer.
A reeling Exeter then steadied themselves with Benjamin Mills’s penalty, but only found temporary respite for their efforts.
Old Reds’ full-back Finn Murphy found a hole in the visiting defence to sneak in for try number two, with Groves converting.
