THE students welcomed Taunton Titans to Epinal Way, with familiar faces Dan Martin and Reece Malone in the Taunton side.
Loughborough landed the first blow with a try from star player Seb Rodriguez Davies.
Taunton were quick to strike back with a maul try which bought them back to within two.
The students extended their lead through some energetic play which led to a try from Ben Roberts to re-establish the lead – with the visitors then suffering a yellow card in the 23rd minute.
