MACCLESFIELD secured a hard-fought but much-needed win after recent losses had left them in the bottom two.
The home side began brightly, with prolific winger Jamie Harrison completing a sensational solo try on three minutes.
Macc then won a scrum penalty which was put into the corner. Harry Oliver came in on a hard line off the maul and offloaded to Hughes to make it 14-0.
This woke the visitors up and they had a long spell in the Macc 22, ultimately opening their account through Bailey.
