NATHAN Decalmer’s brilliant hat-trick moved Bournville closer to safety, but shunted Newport nearer to the drop in another Avery Fields try-fest.
Last season, Decalmer was playing for Telford Hornets at level eight, but the diminutive left wing has made a smooth transition to National Two in an outstanding debut season.
His devastating pace and elusive running proved far too much for Newport, who shipped 38 unanswered points in the final 30 minutes as Bournville ran riot.
