TAUNTON produced a strong second-half performance to secure a narrow victory at Redruth, which was ultimately down to a late Thomas Putt penalty.
The home side started strongly with back-to-back tries from Nathiel Dart and Tom Cowan-Dickie, with both conversions missed by Joseph Cummins.
Taunton struck back through Freddy Elliot, converted by Putt, but Cowan-Dickie’s second of the match made it 15-7 at half-time to the hosts.
