CHESTER snatched victory over Hull Ionians in a topsy-turvy match with the lead fluctuating until the final minute.
It was a tribute to both sides that they created scores while battling the elements as well as each other.
Ionians started fast with well-worked tries in the first and ninth minutes by James Sanderson and Lewis Minikin.
Such was the visitors’ dominance that Chester did not enter Ionians’ 22 until the 27th minute.
