HULL Ionians just hung on to victory after a lastminute kick from Tom Jones of Luctonians from halfway fell just short of the posts.
Lewis Minikin and Jones exchanged penalties to open the scoring, before Ben Stephenson grabbed the opening try for Hull.
But Lucs hit back immediately when Jones scrambled over from a line-out to make it 10-10 at the break.
