WHARFEDALE had this match sewn up by half-time with five converted tries on the scoreboard to lead by 35 – 0, and unsurprisingly didn’t relent after the interval.
Scunthorpe had the wind and the slope in the second half and their resilience was rewarded with two tries.
This though was after the home side had stretched the lead to 49 points in the first ten minutes with two more tries.
Dale opened the scoring when Oliver Cicognini danced through the defence to touch down.
