HULL Ionians won this re-arranged fixture at a canter, scoring nine tries in all, with hat -rick performances from both prop Ben Bell and fullback Lewis Minikin.
South Leicester scored their solitary effort with the final play of the game.
It was no sort of a consolation for a second-half display which saw them virtually disintegrate against the pace and power of the home team. Ionians opened the match with a successful catch and drive, crossing with consummate ease to go 5-0 in front.
