HUDDERSFIELD won an enthralling contest, with good rugby all round.
Macclesfield, though, started the better and assumed early control.
Their early pressure was rewarded with a penalty in front of the posts by Tom Morton.
Huddersfield responded and looked destined for the line on numerous occasions, but Macc’s resilient defence initially held out.
Field’s pressure was eventually rewarded when Macc’s McCarthy was given a yellow card and Richard Piper scored after their maul proved too powerful...
