FLYING full-back Joe Heatley’s sizzling secondhalf break ultimately settled this hard fought local derby as Stour snatched victory over unlucky Luctonians.
Fly-half Chris Scott fired Stour into an early lead with a penalty which Lucs scrum-half Louis Silver soon cancelled out, despite his side being reduced to 14 when tighthead prop Joe White was yellow carded.
Stour stepped up the pressure and took the lead through a trademark catch-and-drive move which was finished off by flanker Nigel Mukarati.
