Welsh get the better of Esher

LONDON Welsh just edged out Esher in a real cracker in what was a crucial clash between mid-table teams looking to pull away from the battle below.
Welsh started quickly with an unconverted try from Dylan Jones, before the visitors responded with Pierre Thompson darting over from close range.
Welsh further seized early momentum as Rhydian George crossed for a try converted by Matt Hodgson. Tries were then scored by James Botterill and Conor Ganley to make it 19-12 at the break.
