Hawks hang on to keep Raiders revival at bay

HENLEY Hawks survived a second-half onslaught from Guernsey Raiders to edge past the Channel Islanders in an absorbing contest at a sun-baked Dry Leas.
Henley were good value for their 14-point half-time lead and opened the scoring after 12 minutes when George Wood dotted down following an excellent move down the touchline.
However, Guernsey fought back to level with Charlie Wilkinson powering over from close range shortly afterwards.
