Roberts’ kicking on form to down Sutton

ON A DAY of deteriorating weather, Sutton & Epsom had the rare pleasure of hosting Esher in the league era.
The hosts started well in the opening exchanges and were rewarded with a James Bourton penalty to take a 3-0 lead. The visitors were soon on level terms via the trusty boot of Tristan Roberts, who kicked a penalty.
The former Championship outfit stepped up the pressure through their pack and following a relentless period on the Sutton line they were awarded a penalty try to take a 10-3 lead.
